Why the September 21 update was delayed
The September 18 announcement supersedes the earlier September 21 schedule. The developer says the update itself is ready, but clearing a collaboration for the update took longer than expected. The team plans to share more news in the coming weeks; it did not give a new release date.
What content has been announced
The September 14 preview promises a new character, a new repairable device and more story. Kaito and Haruhi return as an actor and an engineer, helping a game-development star visiting the city.
The September 18 post includes a device teaser, but its text does not identify the device or explain how to unlock the story. A device name, unlock guide and confirmed release status still need an official announcement.
The later 1.0.015 story hotfix
A developer-marked answer on Steam confirms hotfix 1.0.015 for the story freeze after the rock musician's guitar, often accompanied by a three-star result. The developer warns that saves begun before 1.0.013 and already blocked might not recover from that fix.
This hotfix is documented in a forum answer rather than the full-patch announcement feed. It does not establish that the delayed free content update has launched, and it is not a guarantee that every story-progression issue is fixed.
What changed in 1.0.013r
- Five save slots were added.
- Story blockers involving purchased licenses and main-quest order were fixed.
- Items should no longer be lost in the sonic bath, and serious memory leaks were fixed.
- Older Intel Macs, Asian fonts, gamepad tooltips, the dialogue selector and firmware controls received fixes.
- The marketplace was rebalanced, and IDB Thinkerdad, XI-Box, Atari Lynx, Blueberry Curl and Nony GoMan issues were addressed.
